We skidded. We crashed.
I almost lost my life yesterday.
My first accident.
It happened so fast, I can't remember what happened.
All I remember was the car skidded, then turned a 360 degrees, hit the centre expressway divider hard, and came to a stop. Then, I realised, the windscreen was slightly shattered, the whole car was in a mess, the front bumper was on the floor, the rear headlights were shattered and the car couldn't move.
I was motionless momentarily. Melted into my seat. I knew I hit something or something hit me, but no idea where.
The ambulance which was behind us before the accident got us out of the car. I could feel my legs shaking. We even had the civil defence people stop traffic on the highway for us to cross over!
Once across, barely a couple of minutes, 3 other cars crashed into each other cos of our mutilated car. I saw in right in front of my eyes. I was
shocked.
Shocked beyond words.
I'm pretty lucky that I escaped with just a sprained neck, a bump on my head, a sore right cheek and a slight headache.
My side of the car missed the car in front by centimetres. I recall mentally preparing myself for the impact.
Sigh.
